This is the unusual story of John Titus, a 20- year- old youngster from Kumbanad in Kerala, who landed in the US on a student visa in 1971. He had a degree in Economics with minor in Indian History and Political Science but set out to do a course in aeronautical technology from the South Seattle College. After working for 10 years as manager of an aircraft maintenance company, in 1984, he started Aero Controls Inc. which is now among the well respected privately .held MROs (maintenance, repair and operations) in the aviation sector globally.
